• Project Type: In 2013, MLA was commissioned by the Town of Bermuda Run (TOBR) to provide a schematic design/master plan for an approximately 1.5 mile corridor for a primary pedestrian way within the limits of the TOBR. This lineage, now known as the Blue Heron Trail, will service the citizens of the Town by providing a greenway linking Residential, Commercial and Recreational areas lying North and South of I-40. MLA combined the primary effort of a pedestrian transportation device with concepts for the Town’s need to provide an entrance into the Town at both ends of the route and integrating sitting/gathering plazas and informative educational opportunities. As part of an effort to define the entrance into TOBR, MLA prepared schematic design drawings for a new entranceway to the Town at the intersection of Hwy 158 and Hwy 801. It was also designed to reinforce the design concepts of the Blue Heron Trail which was also recently designed by MLA.
