Deacon Place
PROJECT TYPE:
This multifamily project was originally designed as a private venture project on approximately 10 acres and abutting the WFU campus. MLA provided assistance with the acquisition of the property including the evaluation and assemblage of the properties involved. MLA shepherded the project through the design and rezoning process including orchestrating neighborhood meetings and presenting to city council. While this project was originally designed as a private venture, the design intent was to mimic the WFU vibe in order that it might one day be absorbed seamlessly into the WFU system which it ultimately was. Property consists of multiple unit types, a pool/clubhouse, putting green, gated entry elements, and an elaborate underground storm water detention system.
